I have been driving my 2016 vw Polo manual. I had the same sort of challenge given to me by my dad to drive his auto M4 and took me almost a minute to actually move the car cos of the bloody gear nob. These new cars are mental it’s embarrassing

Alhmdullah I passed my driving test on Sunday which was my second attempt, my first attempt unfortunately I got two serious faults, the first one was for staying too long in the overtakeing lane and for the second because I didn't give way to the incoming traffic.

Thats was a man made for , fast lerning 😅

if there is no traffic coming the other way what is the issue with driving nearer to the central white line, I thought that gives you better view ahead (in a straight or left turning road)

This is my situation. I've done a mere 10 hours of driving school, and passed it. Now I'm going to do a few hours in my Mothers SUV to get used to it and then take my road test. Wish me luck, people.

This is the reason you shouldn’t consider taking a break from driving. When I failed my test two years ago I was so traumatised so I didn’t want to drive. Two months ago started taking lessons and the main issue was is that had to get used to like spacial awareness like when there’s parked cars and oncoming traffic I used to go too near the parked cars my instructor had to handle the steering wheel a few times. I’m getting better now but please if you consider taking a break don’t! 😅
